Production is driven by imagination and nothing allows LIVE! and 3DX to flex that imaginative muscle quite like scenic design and fabrication.  But where do you start?  What may seem like magic is often the result of dozens of meetings; hundreds of man-hours and a few quick prayers between naps.  Nate Thieme will share insights from projects about what you must know before beginning a scenic project: details that you should have in mind; are you working from a completed design or concept sketches; what are your budget limitations; what are the venue limitations; and other questions.  Nate will also discuss what the newly expanded scene design and fabrication services at LIVE! Technologies can accomplish for our client when designing an executive an immersive and transformative design.

Kate Moss, Support Manager

Allen Johnson, with DPA Microphones, will be teaching a class that will help audio and aspiring audio technicians on microphone techniques to be used with wireless microphones.  Allen will show universal techniques that can be used across all models and makes of wireless microphones that he has learned from his years of owkring with the industry leading brand DPA.

Kaylee Roads, Creative Director

Using the Midas digital compact console, this class will take a look at best practices and expert insight into mixing digitally.  Taking a look at: multiple mixes, effects and processing housed within the console–this will give anyone a leg up the next time they need to step behind a digital console.  Even though each system can look drastically different the information covered in the class will apply to all digital consoles.

Photography is a great way for people to: create something; earn a little extra income or even a foundation for a small business.  But with all the extra expenses of: cameras, lenses and lights–what’s left over for a place to take these pictures?  In this class we will take a look at three different, two-light set-ups that can be acomplished in even the smallest space.  Tyler Chapman, will take you through: the basics to keep in mind when shooting to get the best shot; different light set-ups that can be ready to shoot in ten minutes and some interesting in-camera tricks you can use to make stunning photography before you even open up Photoshop!
